About

I began studying human behavior during the 90’s. Throughout my lifetime I continued to learn about the capacity to heal through the wellspring of healing modalities and the interconnectedness of the mind, body, and spirit.

Over the years I have become an EMDR Certified Therapist, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional, Certified Grief Informed Professional and have gained extensive training in multiple empirically tested therapeutic modalities including EMDR, IFS, CBT, ASSYST, somatic, polyvagal, and Flash techniques.

As a survivor of childhood trauma, I love sharing what I have learned with my clients, and it is an honor to be a witness to their healing.

I currently work with motivated clients who want to improve their quality of life, reach their potential, or find a more joyful and peaceful existence in the present. Together, we can alleviate symptoms of anxiety, depression, stress, and improve self-esteem. You can discover helpful tools to improve relationships and communication styles with yourself and with others.

Formal education and commitment to becoming a psychotherapist began in 2001 when my life was transformed while working with traumatized children during an undergraduate practicum for the Child and Family Guidance Center in Los Angeles, CA. I am grateful for that experience.

In 2004 I began providing individual and group therapy to adults while attending the University of Southern California (USC). In 2006 I earned an MSW, got married, and moved across the country.

After leaving Los Angeles I began working in multiple states across the country providing individual therapy, group therapy, and clinical assessments for adults with anxiety, depression, and severe mental health symptoms with co-occurring substance use disorders. I supervised and trained a team of psychotherapists, activity therapists, and behavioral health crisis assessment specialists, treated individuals in community settings, and provided support to incarcerated individuals or those in need of housing. I performed crisis assessments as a specialist on the Psychiatric Emergency Triage Team (PETT) while working in Emergency Departments and medical floors. Additionally, I provided support for end-of-life decisions, and treated Active-Duty military members, veterans, and military spouses.

In my spare time I enjoy laughing with my spouse, friends, and family, cooking, exercising, going to my favorite concerts, painting, writing, watching movies and gripping or hilarious TV shows, spending time in nature and by any body of water, listening to music, and of course, learning (thankfully, it never stops).
